I fail to understand the strategy of IR. The Rajpura-Dhuri-Lehra Mohabat route is a very important route for transporting coal to the thermal plants at Lehra Mohabat and Bathinda, and shall also be taken as feeder route for eastern DFC, then why IR is doing electrification of the Jakhal-Dhuri-Ludhiana section first ?? It is just that a Shatabdi runs on this route ? Or its been politically connected as the MP from Sangrur, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla has been putting constant pressure on IR to do this section first.(As told to me by a railway employee) .When both of those sections were to be electrified according to Budget 2013-14.
There is quite traffic of goods train on RBR (Rajpura-Bathinda)...
more... route, then why it is still waiting to be electrified ??? The RBR section has seen increase in freight traffic since 2002, then why this section had been or still been neglected by IR ?? I have been trying to contact RVNL, who is to do the electrification of RBR and also doing for Jakhal-Dhuri-Ludhiana already , I had also requested info under RTI Act 2005, but response is still awaiting. What is your opinion about it ?
