Why can't IR run original Steam engines in Heritage routes, why modified Eloco or WDM.
1. Ekta nagar (BG Steam loco)
2. Valley queen, Kalakund Heritage (MG Steam loco)
3. Bilimora train, Himalayan queen (NG Steam loco)

Maintainence of Steam locos is very high and loco pilot work is more difficult.
