Bangalore - Mumbai Need for Speed

I have to travel to Mumbai. There are no 2 ways about it. I travel quite regularly on this route, either from Chennai or from Bangalore. I could not have cared less, had I been just a normal traveler. All I needed was to call up my travel agent and let him know. But I am not a normal traveler. My fellow species treat me like some weirdo. What on earth is this guy up to late night staring into the darkness as the trains blast past miles and miles of monotonous terrains and sounds. Who with perfect sanity would book a ticket from Maddur to Trichy if all he wants to travel is from Bangalore to Salem. This is one guy you should avoid. However, I am as normal as person can be when bonded with the correct species, also known as Railfans, A word for some reason, I hate with all the hatred I could manage. It is nothing against the community as I am integral part of one :). It is just that word. Anyway as usual I am drifting

Now that the context is in place, the starting point of this exercise is that I have to travel to Mumbai and the objective is to make it a high speed trip or atleast an alternate route from the typical Udyans and Kurla expresses. Bangalore to Mumbai and high speed travel. Well you must be out of your mind and crazy. I might be crazy all right, but certainly not out of my mind. Well the difference is so subtle, that I cannot explain now.

4 routes in place for me now.

Option 1 : Travel towards Mangalore and take the Konkan route to Mumbai.

Option 2 : Travel via Hubli.
.
Option 3 : Travel via Nagpur (I have a reason. Hear me out first :P)

Option 4. Udyans and Kurlas travel in this route
.
Option 1 : Reserved for Monsoon. Option 2 : Also preferred during monsoons and not a high speed route. Option 3 : Yummy Need for Speed. Option 4 : Oh Puhleeezzz.

After a lot of introspection, Craziness analysis, What would people think scenarios and random thoughts, I settled on Option No 3.

Yes I will travel to Mumbai with a Personal Chain of KSK upto Nagpur and Nagpur Duronto to CSTM. With the route decided, I faced the biggest challenge ever in my RF career, which would necessarily and radically elevate my levels of craziness in the minds of the normal homo sapiens . was my #first journey with 12542 Mumbai LokmanyaTilakTerminus - Gorakhpur Sant Kabirdham Express and I was reached at my boarding point the heart of India and IR, Bhopal junction bang on the time by my favorite router #INDB_HBJ_DD express. After having dinner outside at BPL station I came to BPL station, 23:30 was the time and now legends of the route are playing their cards on the rails, I decided not to sit and keep doing Railfanning with flashing :P,

Started with bhopal #SB, I noticed some one just standing behind me and it was KK's LP and furiously my cam targeted the #LDH #WAP-4 wth this Train in which distance restriction for General traveler is 600kms. Flashing with Train board I went to the end of the train and Opened my lappy just to check out the arriving train... and after this I captured #ED #WAP-4 #KSK followed by #LGD #WAP-7 MAS_Rajdhani on pF#1 and then came to #pf 3 for #ET WAP-4 Shridham express and then I heard announcement of late running #NZM_LTT_AC_EXPRESS.. and just tighten my shoes and ran towrads pf#1 and captured it.. till then I was enough tired and just wanting some sleep but a RF couldn't sleep in night, when he is at BPL junction. #Raptisagar came with making 1 hrs delay and then Finally announcement made for the SKD.
.SKD was the only train I noticed that came with minimum delay of 20 mins...
all other were running not less then 1 hrs.
I just remembered the time cover by #SKD b/w Bhusaval and khandwa... a 2hrs 30 min late running train made an 5min late entry to khandwa.. and thats a true #WAP-7 Jalwa.

I searched for my seat where somebody already enjoying the free berth sleep, I got adjusted very fastly saying the party is over now.. coz we are in bhopal and this is my seat....!!

I covered myself with blanket and just in few minute of departure from bhopal I slept with listen the furious track sounds and honking of lovely AJni #Wap-7.
