Hi Frnds, I am a new user in this site.. Nice to see all rail fans here...
The reason i am writing today is I want to know technical terms in IR & terms used here...Abbreviations such as i found in coach composition PV, PC etc. What is DWP, DVP something like those related to engines...What does rake mean? What does loco reversal mean ? what does slip route mean etc. more & more... Is there any blog entry here already which lists out all these things..Pls let me know if any such blog entry or any one can create and post...

PV= Parcel Van (Luggage Van)
PC= Pantry Car
DWP,DVP do not exist. These are WDP and WDM
WDM= Wide/Broad Gauge , Diesel, Mixed

loco hauls Passenger trains as well as goods/freight train also.
WDP= Wide/Broad Gauge , Diesel, Passenger
WDP loco hauls Only Passenger trains.
Rake means a Whole train excluding The LOCO/ENGINE.

Some guests post their queries under any train's blog, even, their queries are not related with that train, station etc, as he/she doesn't more familiar with this site. We all just solve his/her query. There is 1 FC also in this train.
