feel hurt like a average guy being rejected by the hottest gal in town. Try Again, we can take our chances with IRCTC and it wont hit us back anyway(Well, atleast not physically). If you are logged in your second attempt, you are awesome, First attempt logged in-you are better than Hitler.

3. After dikhafying a lot of Bhav, you may end up logged in to the site. Now comes the catch, BE it DIAL UP/LAN/3G/Wi-Fi, DO NOT position your cursor in the From bar till the PLAN MY TRAVEL page is loaded completely.The moment you do so, the page vanishes, both the screen and your brain go blank at the same time.

4.Try closing down on a particular pair of stations and keep the station codes ready, never wait for the station name to load completely.Waste of time.Also suppose you enter SC in the "from" and MAS in the "To" column you would get a result for KCG-MS Express as well due to proximity but when you try to book for that train you would be displayed another page indicating a different source and destination. So better narrow down on your trains early on.

5. PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE is the word, if your page is not loading after you click on the book option, wait for a while. Do not re-load or go back. Most of the times, waiting did the trick for me(Cheated me once in a while too of course).

6. Do not hurry up and end up messing up your name and ID card details, make sure you enter them correctly.

7.In my personal experience, i found Net/Mobile Banking to be the safest and fastest payment option. I did try Credit card and Debit card booking a few times, but i prefer Net banking now.

8.Here is the most important part, however slow the page is never refresh the page or press back after your payement has been accepted TILL IT IS TRANSFERRED and you can see the PLAN MY TRAVEL page again. Initially you would see a message stating your payment is being transferred followed by a "please wait, do not refresh or reload" message. Once tumaarku message dikh gaya, then consider ticket book gaya..But till you see the PLAN MY TRAVEL page again you are still vulnerable.

9. Never open the same account from two different browsers, also see #5 again.

I wanted to book luggage(household goods weight 220kgsapprox) for shifting in this train from Vijayawada to Chakki Bank. At first parcel office told me in this train loading is not permitted from here as it comes sealed from Chennai neither unloading is permitted at Chakki Bank, only at terminating station that is Jammu Tawi. train may be delayed not more than a week. Then I was asked to verify the same from Parcel office chief supervisor, he said I can only talk to Chennai office to see if some room is available for your luggage, that too only after you book and then come. But today he is saying'No such provision is there, If you want you can talk to leased contractors'. When I spoke to one of them they said, 'one 23 tonne van is attached to that train from here, I will put your luggage in that, but my lease is only upto New Delhi, their it will be unloaded and send through any other day after few days'. But my intention is to carry all the luggage in the same train along with me. Now I a thinking is it possible that after my luggage is unloaded in New Delhi can I book the luggage from New Delhi in the same train, since this train halts at Delhi for 1 hour. It is written that this train halts at Pltfrom 1, is luggage office close to pltfrom 1? will I be allowed to load them in the same train? will they weigh everything once again and give me receipt? Is 1 hr. sufficient time for the process.Or else, I have another ticket in 2AC in Shalimaar 4645 Exp, following day till Jammu, do you think it would be better to leave Andaman Express and from Delhi go by Shalimaar Exp along with luggage, also I have 2 tickets in DLI-PTK Express till Pathankot, I have all these extra tickets because I dont know what is going to be the situation. Which train will allow me to take these luggage from Delhi if reloading the same luggage is not possible in Andaman Express. But another hassle is there the last two trains I mentioned leaves from Old Delhi, whereas Andaman Express arrives at New Delhi, so if I am not permitted to reload in Andaman Express, I have to call a truck to transport all luggage to Old delhi at around night 12 AM( that is the approx arrival time of Andaman Express) and book again from Old Delhi(or I can book from New Delhi Station only?) keep the luggage in the platform and take a retiring room or any room till the departure time of the next train of the two, which will allow me to carry luggage along with me.
