Entrance and ticket counter built on the south side of the railway station to provide access from both sides.
- Improved circulating area with one foot overbridge extended for passengers to exit the station without going through platform #1
- The oldest foot overbridge to be dismantled and a new one built to the height needed for electrification
- Trains to and via Deoghar and Dumka. Trains from North Bihar going towards Howrah/South routed via Munger Bridge and Sahibganj loop or Dumka
- Work started on railway bridge between Pirpainti and Naugachia. Expect to see most trains to North East routed via Bhagalpur after it is completed.
