dated on 14th of January, 2015. On this eve more than 1 Million people gather at the Sagardwip Island. People come here from all over India. Many of them use Howrah station as a transit point, also many of them are elderly people. So its not easy for most of them to travel via SDAH or catch a bus from Kakdwip. Hence proposing this EMU special train (only one return trip on 15th January early morning) to carry the home-bound pilgrims directly from Namkhana (nearest station to Sagardwip Island) to HWH. This train will run via SDAH by-pass and DKAE by-pass, hence no reversal is required. Surely will be a mega hit. IR can also consider to run this train on regular basis.
