thinking about the crowd and the kind people that we get inside these local trains, it sends shivers down my spine...it would be an absolute nightmare to travel in the inhuman conditions inside these local trains in Mumbai again

lifeline or whatever...its more of a majburi than a lifeline...i guess, no one with a sane mind would want to travel in Mumbai locals during peak hours, if there was any other option available...just have a look at the number of fatalities every year on the Mumbai railway tracks

There's no other option for people. Many of them(Including Me) considers local trains has the best,less time consuming and cheap mode of transport. On an avg 10 people loses their lives in Mumbai Local trains almost daily.
But Actually if you travel daily then local train travel can be interesting..:)

Mumbai train travel during peak hours and Interesting ??? never !!...cheap and quick ? yes !! looking at the rising prices of gas in India and the increasing amount of pathetic drivers causing traffic jams every where, may be it is a better option than hitting the roads...but the crowd in the local trains during peak hours is just too much to handle, and people are really mean, come on, they try getting inside the train even before it stops, even before people who want to get down, can actually get down...like i had said, its inhuman !!
