A journey on board the Junagadh - Veraval MG passenger, which traverses through the Gir forest, station known as Sasan Gir, the experience is really memorable. As a part of tourist attraction and natural heritage, Indian Railways is planning to preserve the MG lines in this section.
Gir Forest is a wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, western India. It was established to protect Asiatic lions, who frequent the fenced-off Devalia Safari Park, along with leopards and antelopes.

QQ: For all these heritage lines that won't be converted to BG, will railways manufacture new MG coaches and locos? What happens when the lifetime of these coaches and locos expire?
No plans of new MG locos/coaches in this era, however railways will do periodic maintenance of these rolling stocks, very expensive nowadays.
BG rail bus is planned on this route in gujarat, except the Gir forest section will have MG trains and preserved as heritage.
