Do you think there should be a minimum cut off distance for Super fast trains? For example, if I say "Minimum cut off should be 300KM" then it means a train SHOULD NOT be declared as Super fast if it travels less than 300KM even though it fulfills the SF criteria of 55KMPH Avg speed.

is that there are many super fast trains who the travel laughably short distance. For example, Shantiniketan Express (147KM), Tippu Express (139KM) etc. For such a short distance it doesn't really matter if a train is super fast or not (In fact many M/E trains are faster than those SF trains in that stretch). So I believe we can say it is a cheap stunt of IR to earn extra money. What do you say?

AGITATION DISRUPTS TRAIN SERVICES IN HOWRAH-KHARAGPUR SECTION.
Train services in Howrah-Kharagpur section have been disrupted due to agitation staged at Uluberia on non-railway issue. Nearly 200 to 250 people obstructed UP & DN line at Uluberia from 15.22 hrs. today (13.12.19).

• 18030 Shalimar-LTT Kurla Express
• 18646 Hyderabad-Howrah East Coast Express
• 12246 Yesvantpur-Howrah Duronto Express
• 22862 Shalimar-Adra Rajya Rani Express
• 20827 Jabalpur-Santragachi Humsafar Express
• 12704 Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express
• 12848 Digha-Howrah Superfast AC Express
• 12886 Bhojudih-Shalimar Aranyak Express
This apart, 15 EMU local and Passenger trains have been detained and controlled at various stations in the section.
Cancellation/Short Termination of trains
• 58015 Howrah-Adra Shiromani Passenger leaving Howrah on 13.12.19 has been cancelled.
• 58016 Adra-Howrah Shiromani Passenger leaving Adra on 14.12.19 will remain cancelled.
• 22897 Howrah-Digha Kandari Express has been short terminated at Uluberia and 22898 Digha-Howrah Kandari Express scheduled to leave
Digha today (13.12.19) has been cancelled.
• 12895 Howrah-Puri Weekly Express leaving Howrah on 13.12.19 has been cancelled and 58001 Howrah-Puri Passenger leaving Howrah on 14.12.19 at 00.05 hrs will also remain cancelled.
• Besides, 12 No. of Up EMU and 14 No. of Dn EMU local trains have been cancelled and 5 No. of local trains have been short terminated.

During the agitation, Uluberia station has been ransacked by the mob. Eight (8) Computers used for ticketing and approx Rs. 4 lakh in cash have been taken away. The assessment of the total loss in railway property is under process.
Rescheduling of trains
• 12810 Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Mail has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 23.30 hrs instead of 20.00 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 12863 Howrah-Yesvantpur Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 23.55 hrs instead of 20.35 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 12152 Howrah-LTT Samarsata Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 00.30 hrs on 14.12.19 instead of 21.15 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 01.00 hrs on 14.12.19 instead of 21.30 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 12130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 01.30 hrs on 14.12.19 instead of 21.45 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 18615 Howrah-Hatia Kriya Yoga Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 02.00 hrs on 14.12.19 instead of 22.10 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 12906 Howrah-Porbander/Okha Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 02.30 hrs on 14.12.19 instead of 22.50 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 58011 Howrah-Adra-Chakradharpur/Bokaro Steel City Passenger has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 03.00 hrs on 14.12.19 instead of 23.05 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 12839 Howrah-MGR Chennai Mail has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 03.30 hrs on 14.12.19 instead of 23.45 hrs on 13.12.19.
• 12834 Howrah-Ahmedabad Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 04.00 hrs on 14.12.19 instead of 23.55 hrs on 13.12.19.
Obstruction placed at different locations on railway track have been removed at 21.47 hrs. Track fitness has been ensured and train movement has resumed. There is a lot of bunching and normalization of train movement will take some time.
