Railways has decided to restore the services of 12317 Akal Takht Express on 25.12.2022, 28.12.2022, 01.01.2023, 04.01.2023, and 08.01.2023( 5 trips), which was earlier cancelled for foggy season vide Press Release No. 2022/11/69 dated 16.11.2022. Other dates of cancellation which was notified earlier will remain same.

Is there any distance restriction in this train for booking tickets? I am trying to book a ticket from Kolkata to Asansol but it says Not Available. But if I try to book ticket till Madhupur it shows number of available seats. Now, if I book ticket till Madhupur (fare is same) and deboard at Asansol will there be any problem? Thanks in advance.

There shouldn't be any problem, you are paying more for your ticket, not less than HWH-ASN. If at all Ticket checker on ASN platform creates problem, just tell them you had to short terminate your journey due to stomach problems :D
