I think Kanpur will get it's Meerut Vande Bharat connection with Saharanpur -Prayagraj Vande Bharat because if it's taking them around 7 hours to connect Meerut and Lucknow, there is absolutely no way we can imagine Saharanpur-Prayagraj Vande Bharat from Lucknow.
Although I can't comment on it's future occupancy yet as passengers can surprise railfans best example Prayagraj-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat, still I think running this train is waste of resources as of now.

Also nowadays I'm totally against the introduction of any new trains in CNB-LKO stretch, man! that stretch is absolutely jam packed, there are trains crawling back to back , goods and passenger trains sitting in the loops and until and unless they atleast triple track it and speed upgrade it no new train should be introduced in that stretch, apart from 2 MEMUs. It's basically the second most or third most important section and yet in pathetic state.

Aaj kal toh main CNB-LKO stretch mein koi bhi nayi train introduce karne ke khilaf hoon, yaar! wo stretch bilkul jam-packed hai, trains back to back crawl kar rahi hain, goods aur passenger trains loops mein khadi hain aur jab tak wo track ko triple nahi karte aur speed upgrade nahi karte koi nayi train us stretch mein nahi chalni chahiye, sirf 2 MEMUs ke alawa. Woh basically second ya third most important section hai aur fir bhi pathetic state mein hai.
