We two will be travelling by ACII from Bilaspur to Yesvantpur on 25th April'10. Since there is no pantry car in this train how to get lunch, dinner, breakfast and mineral water? Can IRCTC help in this regard?

food is a very big problem in this train. there is no food avilable beyond Gondia its becomes realy dficult to find food. even on second day bkreafast is a problem and you will definetely not get any food after DMM. its better to cary some food fruits.
Please confirm whether IRCTC staff comes and takes order or not.
there are no IRCTC staff. these are from local station and they come upto Gondia only after that no one comes. you have to rely on food at BPQ & DMM stations for remaning jounery. do not wait for KZJ as it never reaches in time.

If get its luck, better pre-plan & water u can purchase o latform (yet to get genuine brnd is an issue, but pantry dont provide branded min water either)

You hav to aproch TTE ,Train superdent for Place order of meal to Kozipeth station from IRCTC food stall. So you place order in advance minimum 2 hours to Runing Commercial staff , they will send your order through Passing By halt station . For more information call toll free 1800111139

Everyone is thinking of their comfort. Think about old age people and family persons who prefer direct trains, going by bus and looking for a companion to time pass is mainly desired by youth bachelors. Before posting any comment just think one day you will also get married and have kids and may your parest will also travel with you, that time just imagine the discomfort which you will suffer while changing the trains in Nagpur and also when u desire to travel by bus from hyderabad to Banglore. Giving suggestions are okay but just think before you write whether it is applicable for everyone or not.
i agree with your viewpoint abt direct trains, but sometimes, its not possible for railways to provide a direct train due to many difficulties. in that case, one has to change somewhere. for reaching some places, we have to do part rail/part bus journey also. its life. we have all to adjust and try to go to the nearest point and change. elder persons should have least inconvenience = for that younger family members should make it comfortable to the elder persons as much possible.

I was travellin frm korba to ypr alone and i must tell u dat this train is reallly very boring...First of all it does not have enough passengers so the journey seems very boring....Moreover if we leave abt boring factor then it doesnt have a pantry car and most of the stations it passes through are very small..tehy dont have foodin faci.....
This is the worst train I have ever travelled with. There is no pantry and the stations that fall have either very poor food or there is no food at all.
It is much better to stand in Sampark kranti Ex & come to bangalore rahter than sleeping for unlimited hours in this train.
Even I thought of getting down at Hydrabad & coming to Bangalore by Bus
