TVC means to kochuveli/pettah/nemom. It can be extended to any of these three stations
Out of these only KCVL is possible as TVP is a halt station, and NEM has only a single loop line.
Why not PETTAH and NEMOM trains can go to NEMOM halt for 3 hrs and return back.
As I said earlier, Pettah is a halt station. No loops are present. Secondly, Nemom is a station with just a single loopline. Crossings would occur at certain timings. Halting a train at Nemom would not be easy as you think. Loco reversal at the mainline, loopline occupied by a train for 3 hrs can lead to delays in TVC-NCJ section.
Anyway KCVL is ready to serve as alternate station to TVC so it can easily extended to KCVL
