kaushik8549 15 blog posts08004 one of the worst SPL trains. I bought tickets for a friend of mine who is travelling to Kolkata from YPR. The train itself left the station 45 mins late and now running almost 2 hours late. To make is worse the A1 compartment's AC is not working since the train left YPR and no technician is able to figure out the reason for it.

Possibly that person who was supposed to catch the Rajdhani Exp will definitely miss the train.
Yes, i cancelled the ticket and booked a Tatkal ticket for Poorva Express departing HWH tomorrow morning at 8.15. I hope this train will reach HWH before Poorva departs
Its running 8 hours late now. Hopefully your friend will be able to catch the Poorva Exp. Lessons learnt!
Yes, very much. Luckily for me, today i got a confirmed Tatkal ticket through IRCTC in my first attempt.

The train is already running more than 2.5 hrs late and the A1's AC is not working. :(
If the AC is n't working... Complain it to TTE and get a signed approval letter from him. After your journey is finished, You can apply and avail a suitable fare refund from IR for the same reason.
okay. though the TTE is yet to be seen, I'll keep my friend informed about the same.
update: though the passengers has protested about the same. The IR people has agreed to return the AC fare after deducting the regular sleeper fare. but they're suffering due to lack of ventilation on AC coaches.
You have to file a TDR and send the TTE signed evidence ti avail refund.
This special has all possible class of sleeper coaches I think..

kami rah gayee to sirf AC chair car ki. agar wah bhi laga dete to shayad to yah hindustan ki pahli train hoti jisme bhartiya rail ki saari classes maujood hoti. :p

presently SRc is hosting 2 LDH G-7's.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a P-4 for this so called Deluxe (7=Higher Class and 6 = Sleeper Class) train.
But the SHM - VSKP part would be disconnected at VSKP.
