Regions Affected: Eastern & North East India.
I cant get one thing. hardly any new trains from hwh in last half decade. all from src or shm or koaa or sdah. reason no space at hwh. all of a sudden lots of space as all premiums start from howrah !!
reason 03059 one tkt costs Rs 1150/- 12343 one tkt costs Rs 330/-
Howrah having the best connectivity & passengers first choice... Railways do not want a flop show with premiums...

All premium trains and high cash producing trains should definitely start from HWH itself.Less important trains should be shifted to KOAA,SHM,SRC.SDAH should not have much of long distance services.Thats why I was little surprised when they announced Patna Duronto from Shalimar and without any stoppage at Santragachhi(as per duronto norms).
Dankuni can definitely be developed as a new terminal due to its proximity to NH-2,NH-6.The approach road needs to be prepared with huge areas for Public and private transport.2010 rail budget saw a notification regarding the feasibility survey.Dankuni is going to e the next induatrial,logistics and manufacturing hub of West Bengal.Ddicated freight corridor will terminate here.So endeavours should be made to start thinking on those lines.Even years of finally preparing model to...

i agree with the premium train & dynamic fare concept but IRCTC's algorithm needs to be modified a lil...as for return journey also they're charging exorbitantly when everyone knows this slot from NJP is a super flop one.
sir please remember this train is not having ss,def,handicapped & most importantly HO quota...its like a 3X TATKAL train...so whatever availibility is shown is actually TOTAL BERTH-TOTAL BOOKED.

Rather I think that if a Shatabdi is run upto New Coochbehar with the timings with reverse the timings of the present shatabdi,it will be huge hit.That can be run with the old ICF rakes easily available or the rakes of HWH-NJP AC EXPRESS.The RSA need to be cancelled with YUVA EXP.yuva can be given a dedicated 2a,3a combo.That will cover extensive areas of NBengal(Jalpaiguri,Alipurduar,Bamanhat,Dinhata,Maynaguri,Falakata),Lower Assam(Dhubri,Bongaigaon districts).
