It has been decided some trains will be a shift in Terminal from Howrah Station to Shalimar Station between November 2021 to January 2022.

Is there scope and space to expand Shalimar terminal ? Would it also run into problems, land acquisition related issues etc? If the plan is to make it a terminal for future SER should also look at improving facilities outside as well like ample parking, provision for taxi stands and also try and improve connectivity in coordination with local authorities

I think your assumption can be right in January 2022. Today's SER PR on Terminal shift from HWH to SHM of Dhauli Exp can have some indication on the rake PM shift from Puri to Shm CDO maybe but have to wait for January 2022
