2) Change the departure time to 12.30 otherwise this will be sandwiched in between 12327/12369 and 11448

Will you kindly do a favour by also creating a Silchar to Howrah Express?
Here are some facts:
1. Most people from Silchar travel to Guwahati followed by Howrah. (From existing pattern at railyatri).
2. There are 2 daily flights each between Silchar and Kolkata and Silchar and Guwahati and they are always full.

The air ticket to Kolkata costs at least Rs 6500 whereas even AC1 ticket to Kolkata will now be cheaper. So Railways may get the idea of running Premier trains for this route. The coach composition should take this into account.
4. It seems neither GHY nor KYQ has the ability to handle more starting trains because of lack of parking space. Extension of Kanchenjunga Express to Silchar was being talked about because of this, besides a new Silchar-Howrah Express.
5. Those travelling from SCL to Kolkata need conevient connections to Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai. So the arrival time has to be convenient on this account if air travellers have to shift to train. Same applies to departure from Howrah.

For TSK bound trains from Barak Valley LMG will be a stop but having to go back and forth 7 km each way to LMG on GHY-SCL route plus Loco Reversal time for LMG is unnecessary.
I have not understood the logic of routing GHY trains through LMG.
Or am I missing something?
And why do you think of a terminal for Barak Valley?...

Only GHY bound trains will bypass LMG. The idea of shaving off 16 km distance (PKB is 7 km before LMG plus the route has become 201 km vs 210 km before GC) will be defeated if trains have to be routed through LMG.
