dated on 14th of January, 2015. On this eve more than 1 Million people gather at the Sagardwip Island. People come here from all over India. Many of them use HWH as a transit point, also many of them are elderly people. So its not easy for most of them to go to SDAH or catch a bus for Kakdwip. Hence proposing this EMU special train (only one trip on 13th January) to carry the pilgrims directly from HWH to Namkhana (nearest station to Sagardwip Island). This train will run via Dankuni by-pass and SDAH by-pass, hence no rake-reversal is required. Surely will be a mega hit. IR can also consider to run this train on regular basis.
