Actually this happened to me when I was traveling to Kurduwadi Railway Station from Pandharpur Bus Stop. It was 7.30pm in the evening. That time I had to catch 11306 Solapur Mumbai Express from Kurduwadi at 9.30pm. I missed 7.30pm MSRTC bus. By seeing it, one of these jeep drivers asked me to travel by jeep. his jeep outside the Pandharpur MSRTC Bus depot. When we reached to his jeep, some 6 passengers were already waiting there inside the jeep. They told us that they were waiting for the jeep driver from last 15-20mins. Now total 11 passengers were there in a jeep.
After this that driver went again to the depot for some other passenger. Now it was already 8.15pm, all passengers were in tension to catch the train. 3 of us went to the bus depot to inform him that we all have to catch the same train. But he told us that they carry total 15-16 passengers in the jeep. He asked all of us to pay 1000 rupees in total. Actually normal one way cost is Rs.60 for this trip. We told him to take 80 rupees per passenger (instead of Rs.60 per passenger) and requested him to start the jeep. After many arguments he started his jeep at exactly 8.35pm.
During journey that jeep driver was arguing with 2 boys who were from Thane. After some time he took his jeep to the petrol pump which was deep inside the jungle and get off from the jeep saying we all should pay him Rs.100 per person. And he asked to pay the money at petrol pump itself. Here too he argued a lot with all passenger and wasted 5-10 mins. 2 ladies from us agreed to pay the amount and requested him to start the jeep as they were travelling with their 2 children. But those 2 boys (who were from Thane) were not agreed to their decision and they threaten the driver to take his jeep to the Kurduwadi Station on time.
Atlast he started his jeep. During the journey that bullshit driver had called his useless other group drivers and asked them to come to the Kurduwadi railway station to solve this issue (in his meaning to fight with us).
I think we reached near Kurduwadi Station exactly at 9.25pm. All his friends were waiting there. We all got down from the jeep. His friends stopped us in between and demanded to pay Rs.100/- per person. We all paid him Rs.100/- per person and rush to the station without arguing with them.
Exactly after 2 mins our train arrived on platform no.1 at 9.28pm. We all caught the train on time. We all passengers then met inside the train and discussed the same issue with each other.

We all really thank god (LORD VITTHALA RUKMINI) that we all came out of this problem and got our train on time.

From this we all got a good lesson to NOT TO USE PRIVATE VEHICLES in these kind of areas.

I REQUEST YOU ALL TO USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT AS IT IS THE SAFEST AND FASTEST MODE OF TRANSPORT.
