This place has got some top-notch attractions like: 1. Kadiri Lakshmi Naramiha Swamy temple (Pic 1): This temple is about 4 kilometers away from the station. You can grab an auto to get there. It's super famous, especially because of that song "Katama rayuda kadiri Narasimhuda" from the hit Telugu movie Attarintiki Daredi by Pawan Kalyan. The locals even call the main deity "Katama Rayudu." It's a big deal for all the devotees of Narasimha Swamy, especially in Andhra Pradesh's Rayalaseema region and the Rayalaseema region of Karnataka. 2. Thimmamma Marrimanu (Pic 2 & 3) (Thimmamma Banyan Tree): This place is a big deal. It holds the Guinness World Record for being the largest Banyan tree. It's located 25 kilometers away from Kadiri, in Anantapura district. You can hop on an APSRTC passenger bus to get there. The bus stand is about 1 kilometer away from the Railway station, so ask around there. This gigantic tree is more than 650 years old and has a canopy that spreads over 19,107 square meters, which is like, massive! That's why it made it to the Guinness Book of World Records in 1989. 3. Yogi Vemana Samadhi (Pic 4): This place is pretty famous 'cause it's got the Yogi Vemana Samadhi. Kattarupally, where it's located, gets a lot of pilgrims. It's about 25 kilometers away, and you can catch an APSRTC passenger bus from the bus stand to get there. On the way to Thimmamma Marrimanu from Kadiri, you'll get to see some wicked rock formations. Yogi Vemana is known as the poet of the people. His poems in simple and everyday Telugu are a hit among both the educated folks and the folks from the countryside. Amenities at Kadiri are super shitty. If you gotta stay or suffer at the station, you'll find all sorts of problems. No freakin' toilets or restrooms. No waiting rooms for regular, fancy, or sleeper class passengers. No electronic displays to check your coach number or train status for arrival or departure. And don't even think about hearing any announcements about when the damn train is coming or leaving. The only thing they got is one measly stall on the right side of platform 1 where you can get a hot or cold drink. Straight ahead.
