When at YPR, with a 60 mins to 120 mins or more of lay-over/transit time, do not think twice before heading to this restaurant/food court - SHIV BHOJ - PURE VEG - 1.2 kms away from YPR station by walk and 1.5 kms by Metro Rail - YPR to YPR Industry Metro Rly Stn. Phone No. of SHIV BHOJ: 080 67303000. Towards Mumbai Side - or just ask for Taj Vivanta, Tumkur Road Side when outside the station. They serve the following cuisines - North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, Fast Food. A lot of food is available to choose from. THEY MAY ALSO DELIVER AT YPR STN - JUST ASK FOR IT. Shivbhoj - Pure Veg also has a multi-cuisine veg & non-veg cum BAR & restaurant (liquor served) on the First Floor - called UPPU MUNCHI - meaning SALT & CHILLI in Mangalorean local dialect TULU. (both, the Kitchens & cooks are different). Cheers! Get your spirits on the HIGH!!!

Dude, I am not spamming here. I have no reason to do so. Come over to YPR sometime and see outside the station, its all traffic and traffic and traffic. It is really hard to find a good, quite place to relax and eat. Therefore I posted this. Shivbhoj's owner is not my relative or a friend. But that resto is within reachable distance from YPR, provided one has ample time on hand. I have mentioned this earlier in the post.
It seems it is his hotel. Or must be getting some commission for hawking it here. Nothing wrong in canvassing here-a lot of customers.
If you want to travel from YPR to SBC, or vice versa with luggage or to change over of trains, then atleast once check the trains runing. Pretty ample amount of trains run between these two major terminal stations of bangalore. Auto and bus are also good available but still they are costly and time consuming (considering the bangalore heavy traffics). Also its very cheap. General ticket costs just Rs10 whereas prepaid auto would cost 7-8 times higher.
Metro stn just outside Pf6, can be used upto mantri Mall, Sbc 1km from there
I prefer auto instead of metro bcs it'll be risky for passengers with heavy luggage's to come out and catch autos to SBC from Mantri square metro station.
Instead of auto look out for any passenger train matching your schedule from SBC. That's what my tip says, autos are costly whereas by train it hardly takes 10 min and just Rs10. Generally trains are not that much crowded here. So no problem of heavy luggage or family.
I was staying in RR at Ypr, took an auto to sbc almost missed my train due to heavy traffic, took 45mnts
I'm telling about ur tip of reaching Mantri Square metro station from ypr and reaching SBC from there.
Via- which route you travelled in Auto to reach SBC, the shorter and traffic less route is via- Srirampuram, Okalipuram and reach SBC back gate(pf-8) within 10-15mins from YPR maximum 30mins.
nowadays metro trains have started having high patronage it is not possible to travel with heavy luggage.
minimum metro fare-rs 10(for 1st stage/stop)
maximum -23(from sampige road to peenya industry)
hopefully by June you can travel by metro upto areas in South Bengaluru like Jayanagar,JP Nagar,Basavangudi,Banashankari,Konanukunte etc.
