What you say maybe true. But the two trains run on different days of the week, so the day of departure has to be convenient to the traveller. If you travel by Third AC, it is okay as both trains have it. But sleeper class is available only on 01663
As it is using Hawrah Duranto & Nagpur AC Express slot.. it will run on time till Bhusaval for sure..
While this special is delayed in it's Bhopal - Dharwad journey itself, so due to less TAT at Dharwad it will keep on rescheduling..

Yeah I had very horrible experience with this special travelled thrice from Pune to HBJ n all time it reached HBJ with huge 8 hours delay.

this is tip and an alternative. Traveller has more option then we can think so it will add an extra alternative and its upto traveller that which alternative he/her will take,
But we are here to rate alternatives. If a simple WL gets confirmed when charting from Bangalore is done, why go for Tatkal? The alternative provided by you attracts undue cost.
