इंदौर खंडवा रेल लाइन पर सबसे मह्त्वपूर्ण लाइन अम्बेडकर नगर से सनावद तक है जिसके बनने के बाद दक्षिण भारत की दूरी 300 किलोमीटर तक कम हो जायगी, अम्बेडकर नगर सनावद सेक्शन को प्रिऑरिटी पर पूरा करवाना चाहिए क्युकी खंडवा से अकोला पहले से एक अल्टरनेटिव रूट (वाया भुसावल ) मौजूद है इंदौर से खंडवा के बीच की दुरी 538 से 139 किलोमीटर रह जायगी I
