जासं, कानपुर : शहरवासियों को नए साल में आइआइटी से सेंट्रल स्टेशन तक मेट्रो के सफर का सपना पूरा हो सकता है। मेट्रो का दिसंबर के अंत तक यहां काम पूरा करने का लक्ष्य है। नयागंज तक अपलाइन पर ट्रैक निर्माण का कार्य पूरा हो चुका है। दो माह में चार अंडरग्राउंड स्टेशन तैयार कर लिए जाएंगे। बड़ी संख्या में यात्री रोजाना सेंट्रल पहुंचते हैं। उनकी सुविधा के लिए सेंट्रल अंडरग्राउंड मेट्रो स्टेशन को रेलवे स्टेशन से जोड़ा जा रहा है। इससे यात्रियों के समय की बचत होगी और वह मेट्रो यात्रा का लाभ ले सकेंगे। कानपुर मेट्रो रेल परियोजना के कारिडोर एक (आइआइटी-नौबस्ता) के अंतर्गत मैकराबर्टगंज से सेंट्रल स्टेशन तक टनल का निर्माण पूरा किया जा चुका है। 12 जुलाई को नयागंज तक अपलाइन ट्रैक पर पहली बार टेस्ट रन के दौरान मेट्रो ट्रेन अंडरग्राउंड टनल से गुजरते हुए नयागंज स्टेशन तक पहुंची थी। डाउन लाइन पर भी नयागंज स्टेशन तक ट्रैक का अधिकांश काम पूरा हो चुका है। मोतीझील के बाद आगे पड़ने वाले चार अंडरग्राउंड स्टेशन चुन्नीगंज, नवीन मार्केट, बड़ा चौराहा और नयागंज में सिग्नलिंग, टनल वेंटिलेशन, एयर कंडिशन के इंस्टालेशन का काम तेजी से बढ़ा है। दो माह में फिनिशिंग के साथ इन सभी कामों के पूरा होने की संभावना है। नयागंज के बाद अगला स्टेशन सेंट्रल है, जो आवाजाही के हिसाब से कारिडोर एक के सबसे प्रमुख स्टेशनों में से एक है। पीआरओ पंचानन मिश्रा का कहना है कि सेंट्रल का निर्माण कार्य साल के आखिरी माह तक पूरा करने का लक्ष्य है।

02 महीने में तैयार हो जाएंगे चार अंडरग्राउंड स्टेशन

05 जून : नयागंज से कानपुर सेंट्रल के बीच 1250 मीटर लंबे दोनों टनल का निर्माण पूरा
12 जुलाई: इसी ट्रैक पर पहली बार टेस्ट रन के दौरान मेट्रो अंडरग्राउंड टनल के अंदर से नयागंज स्टेशन पहुंची
20 जुलाई : ट्रैक निर्माण शुरू होने के बाद अब तक अपलाइन पर 50 प्रतिशत ट्रैक की ढलाई
