Yes the land for this line passes through rich agriculture and irrgated one so difficult for LA especially land afer Lokapur where lot of sugar cane fields are their and no problem of water also as ghataprabha river serves those areas in good way.
It is people of Mudhol-JamKhandi-Mahalingpur only who demanded this line from decades. For exports of there sugarcane products and fertilizers, now they are not ready to provide land. Swr also doing survey on Dharwad-Lokapur new line, don't know when will that happen
Lets assume BGK-Kudachi line commissioned and open for traffic so which of the trains can be made to run on this stretch? Does this line will be useful for long distance trains?
Yes Local ppl demanded but it was back in that time but now a days lot of transport modes available and roads also in good condition so they transporting their goods by road transport and at the same time they cant sell land for low rates which railway asking them so for that reason its might be delaying i think. For transporting the produce they cant sell the land for low rates which itself giving them produce to transport. If no produce no use of transport too. P
Yes very good question. Hardly we can get one overnight train from Gadag/Hosapete to Miraj or Pune max, doubt for Mumbai and one Demu between Miraj and Bagalkot that's it. Infact I feel Bgm-Bgk line would have served better and provided alternation connection to Londa-Goa from NEK

Even till CLT, it has got an aggressive TT. only 4 Hrs running time for the CBE-PGT-CLT stretch with an average speed of 45kph.
Its common mans superfast between CBE to CLT
Before it runs like an express between CBE and SRR with stoppages at PTJ,PGT ,Palappuram(for KV Students and staffs) and OTP.
Now also the speed is intact. But, since it's a passenger train, 56651 is made to wait at TIR, KTU stations for late running weekly exp trains to overtake.
