I am waiting for the completion of DD-MMR doubling and electrification.A lot of massive opportunties will open up for that section.Ahmednagar can really grow beyond recognition in a period of 10 years from now.Many new trains willl be added on this DD-MMR line.
I wish Kalyan - Nagar railway line would have been a reality. The demand was made and there were a lot of talks, but nothing happened. This line would have been useful to fully utilise the Nagar - Beed - Parali line. Nagar and Marathwada would have got better connectivity to Mumbai.
Totally agree with U.Even if they start in small stretches of 50 kms from both end, it would be meaningful. Over a period of 10 years, the Kalyan-Ahmednagar Rail line can be a reality. There must be some one to push this through to the Railway board.I can see only one hope.Dr,.Sujay Vikhe Patil is the only man who along with Piyush Goyal Ji can make a head start for this. He is already working on the Nagar -Pune line and the Nagar-Aurangabad line.If he takes it up strongly, the much awaited Kalyan-Nagar line will see some movement happening.The first objective should be to get this line in the pink book in the next 2 years.Before elections, the work must start from either end.Lets hope for the best.
