Marauda an isolated station not well known as the station has 3 or 4 service on specific route throughout over day, main task of this station is to serve Bhilai Steel Plant as Yard Exchanger which Freight lines come from Dalli Rajhara mines, station developed and started by Bhilai Steel Plant solely later they handed over to Railways for run passenger service, if you visit here you will see the main line coming from DURG and going to BIA using Plant internal line is Fully electrified because developed by Bhilai Plant, while Railways owns Line from Marauda to Dalli Rajhara still running on Diesel, Due to no provision maded on budget for Electrification,

Great info and it is good to know that Maroda terminal is taking shape, We can hope that the twin city may get more originating trains in near future. But the Maroda project was not evident in SECR pink book!
because fund given for Durg coaching yard but as per survey durg does not have enough space to hold Full AC 22 LHB coaches thats why they looked to alternate and Marauda is an isolated place so here they can easily use the space also the route is not used widely so they can go easily to any end.
We can see rakes parked at adjacent stn at Bhubaneswar also, Long back, before formation on SECR & Chhatisgarh, New coaching complex was planned at Rasmara to the west of DURG.
Rasmara the main problem is the river bridge if rakes go to there and parking done then they have to stop freight and passenger movement, this is not feasible on Main Route.

wo local made road hai pakka nahi hai isliye aisa dikh raha hai baad me usko Bypass banna hai usi par. abhi banne me 8 10 saal lag jayenge jab tak Naya Raipur Pauwara Halt nahi banega iska bypass mushkil hai tab bhi Bypass freight hi legi main train to Marauda jana hi padega.
