The Khandwa Amlakhurd railway line is officially complete.

The South Central Railway successfully conducted a trial on the newly constructed broad gauge railway track between Khandwa and Amullakhurd, covering a distance of 54 kilometers, at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The trial was carried out today. The South Central Railway completed the work on the new broad gauge track between Khandwa and Amullakhurd station. They conducted the trial from Khandwa station to Amullakhurd at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour using the WD4D 40238 engine at 12 PM. The Deputy Chief Engineer Construction of the South Central Railway, Yogananand Babu, mentioned that the trial had been conducted at a slower speed over the past two days but today, they ran the engine at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, maintaining the prescribed speed limits in some areas while reaching a speed of 120 kilometers per hour in several others, covering a distance of 54 kilometers. In this month, the Chief Railway Safety Commissioner (CRSC) from the Railway Board will inspect the track by running a full train. The date for this inspection will be announced by the Railway Board soon. Today, the track has been cleared for CRSC inspection after running the engine at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
