Limestone industries here are upbeat after announcement for completion of the rail line between Sanu and Hamira in Jaisalmer in the rail budget. It will also benefit the Army.
According to Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Ltd (RSMML) managing director Ajitabh Sharma, the move will trigger a spurt in demands for Jaisalmer's limestones from various steel plants across the country. Indian Railways in collaboration with RSMML will lay tracks along the 57km long route for transporting large quantity of limestones in future, he said.
