ECR GM Arriving Bhagalpur Station Onboard Special Inspection Train After Inspecting The Proposed Construction Site Of New Ganga Bridge Between Bateshwar Sthan (Near Vikramshila University) And Kataria (Near Naugachia).

The New Rail Line Will be around 18km long and will directly be connected to the Asansol - Kiul railway line through the new Pirpainti - Jasidih railway line. Naugachia - Katihar rail section will also be directly connected with Bhagalpur - Howrah Rail Line, Hansdiha - Bhagalpur - Dumka rail line and Deoghar - Dumka Section.

1. RM has asked ECR to submit DPR for approval of bikramshila-kataria line including bateshwarsthan ganga bridge to be made on BOT model(PPP)
2. Godda-pirpainti line will have some minor realignment. New line will be parallel to NH after mahgama upto pirpainti

This marks the complete electrification of Sahebganj loop.

After this, India's 2nd oldest line(original Delhi-Howrah line) will be fully electrified i.e. 95 yrs after 1st electric train(India) ran in 1925 . Imagine the neglect.
