Navapur railway station lies on the Udhna – Jalgaon section of Surat - Bhusaval Broad Gauge line which connects Gujarat & Western Maharashtra with northern parts of Maharashtra & beyond. Presently this single line section is being converted in double line along with electrification. The work is expected to get completed by March, 2019. After completion of work, more trains can be run on this section. This doubling work will play a vital role in connecting Western Railway with various parts of South & Eastern India.

Bhawani Mandi is a border town in Rajasthan, with a unique railway station — the northern part of the platform is in the Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, and the southern part of it is in Jhalawar, which is a district in Rajasthan.
At this station, when you enter (or sit in the waiting room), you are in Rajasthan, but in order booking a train ticket, you will have to go to Madhya Pradesh. The division of Bhawani Mandi Railway Station and its periphery between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh is almost equally divided between the two states. While the entrance lies in Rajasthan, the booking window is in Madhya Pradesh. So, one has to cross Rajasthan border to get the tickets.
The station is directly connected to more than 350 other stations, and about 8000 to 10000 passengers commute through it every day.
