चुनार-चोपन रेलवे लाइन के विद्युतीकरण का कार्य पूर्ण होने के बाद इस रेल मार्ग का लोकार्पण करने के लिए चुनार रेलवे स्टेशन से चुनार-चोपन पैसेंजर ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाकर चोपन के लिए रवाना किया। click here

से वीडियो कांफ्रेंसिंग के जरिए ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाई।इस अवसर पर राज्यसभा सांसद श्री रामशकल जी भी उपस्थित रहे।केंद्र सरकार द्वारा लगभग 100 किमी लंबी यह परियोजना लगभग 129 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से संपन्न हुई है। click here

विद्युतीकरण हो जाने से अब इस रेलमार्ग पर तेज रफ्तार की रेलगाड़ियों भी चल सकेगी व मुगलसराय रेलखंड द्वारा आपात स्थिति में इस रेलमार्ग का विकल्प के तौर पर उपयोग किया जा सकेगा। अब चुनार में ट्रेनों को इंजन भी नहीं बदलना पड़ेगा। इससे यात्रियों के बहूमूल्य समय की बचत होगी। click here
