Finally .... Tumakuru - Chitradurga / Rayadurgam New Line Work Begins.

It was stalled till now.

Tumakuru - Oorukere is the common section for both Tumkur - Chitradurga and Tumkur - Rayadurgam New Lines.

Work was stalled till now and it has now begun from Tumakuru station side - see video.

Oorukere will be the future junction.

This New Line to Chitradurga and subsequently to Tolahunse near Davanagere will reduce the distance from Bengaluru to Hubballi, Belagavi , Pune, Mumbai and North India

This is good news indeed as this work was stalled for years.
