Work is underway on the remaining 111 km Katra-Banihal section, with full connectivity expected by January 2024. more... December ko Banihal aur Khari ke beech, pehli baar electric train ka successful trial run kiya gaya. 272 km lamba USBRL project mein se 161 km track already complete ho chuka hai. Baki bacha 111 km Katra-Banihal section pe kaam chal raha hai. January 2024 se Kashmir, puri tarah rail network se desh ke dusre hisson se judega. USBRL route pe, Chenab Bridge ban raha hai.
