2023-24 mein 13,343,246 passengers se Rs 5,641.66 crore kamaya, jisse yeh East Coast Railway zone mein sabse zyada revenue generate karne wala station ban gaya. Vijayawada Railway Station ko bhi NSG-1 status ke liye recommend kiya gaya hai. Is upgrade se Visakhapatnam Station ka modernization ho sakta hai, jo ki badhte hue passengers ki demands ko pura karne ke liye jaruri hai, halanki station ki facilities abhi bhi kaafi kam hai. Recently launch kiya gaya Visakhapatnam aur Bengaluru ke beech ka weekly special train, jo ki East Coast Railway ke Waltair Division ne launch kiya tha, bahut zyada popular hua hai.
