Jail. Salem's arrival at Manmad station was kept secret, with police officers surrounding him as he disembarked, while a crowd gathered outside. He is currently serving a life sentence for his role in the bombings. In June 2024, Salem had appealed to the Bombay High Court to prevent his transfer from Taloja Central Prison to Nashik Central Prison, citing safety concerns. His initial appeal was denied on June 25th, but the court delayed the transfer until July 3rd.
