Yadav highlighted key achievements of Central Railway, including the introduction of 7 Vande Bharat trains, running 249 special trains in FY 2024-25, completion of 348 km of doubling/new lines/multi-tracking in FY 2023-24, a record freight loading of 89.25 million tonnes in FY 2023-24, and the inclusion of 96 stations in the Amrit Station Scheme. He also mentioned improvements in safety, including the closing of 68 LC gates in FY 2023-24 and the installation of 4432 CCTV cameras in suburban EMU coaches.
Yadav also discussed plans for future projects, including the construction of new coaching complexes at various locations and the addition of 28 escalators and 33 lifts during the current financial year. He emphasized the importance of suggestions from ZRUCC members in improving passenger services.
