The South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain, stated that the developed station will provide a new experience for rail users. The foundation stone for the redevelopment was laid in August 2023, along with 20 other stations in Telangana, 15 in Andhra Pradesh, 13 in Maharashtra, and one in Karnataka, at a combined cost of nearly Rs 2.079.29 crore.
