2, 2024, 11 individuals of doubtful nationality were caught at Agartala Railway Station, and they confessed to entering India illegally from Bangladesh. Four more Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended at the same station on July 23, 2024. The RPF also conducted similar operations at Badarpur and New Jalpaiguri stations, leading to more apprehensions. The RPF is vigilant and continues to monitor for illegal migrants, including Rohingyas, to ensure railway network security.
