He stated that the arrangements for the relief workers involved in the accident, one of whom was injured on Sunday evening, would be investigated. During the inspection, which lasted until around 10 am, the CRS collected information on the speed of the freight train involved in the accident, examined the loop lines, inspected the guard coach and engines, checked the automatic switch for changing tracks, and requested a report comparing the timing of the railway and DFCC clocks with the central control room clock. He also inquired about the recruitment and training of the staff at the New Sirhind station, operated by the DFCC, and inspected the station's control panel and signal system. The CRS also spoke with the staff, who suggested the use of anti-collision devices, stationing of the stationary freight train at the platform, and prioritizing the movement of the empty freight train over the stationary one. Other officials present at the site included Deputy CRS Deepak, Northern Railway's Chief Safety Officer Dimpi Garg, Ambala Railway Division DRM Mandeep Singh Bhatia, DFCCIL officials, and Senior DSC Arun Tripathi of the RPF. The accident is being compared to the one in Balasore, Odisha, where a passenger train was also involved. However, in this case, the passengers narrowly escaped. The lack of anti-collision devices, which could have prevented such accidents, is being highlighted. The railway authorities had announced trials for this device in 2016.

CRS ne kaha ki haadse mein lage relief workers ke liye arrangements, jisme se ek worker Sunday shaam ko injured ho gaya tha, ki jaanch hogi. Subah 10 baje tak chalu rahe inspection mein CRS ne haadse mein shamil maalgadi ki speed ki jaankari li, loop lines ka jaayza liya, guard coach aur engines ka nirdheshan kiya, track badalne wale automatic switch ka nirdheshan kiya, aur railway aur DFCC ki ghadiyon ke samay ki central control room ki ghadi se milann ki report maangi. Unhone DFCC dwara chalaye jaane wale New Sirhind station ke staff ki bharti aur training ki jaankari bhi li aur station ke control panel aur signal system ke sanchalan ka nirdheshan kiya. CRS ne staff se baat ki, jinhone anti-collision devices ka use, stationary freight train ko platform pe khade karna aur empty freight train ko stationary freight train se pehle chalana jaise suggestions diye. Dusre officers jo site par maujood the, unmein Deputy CRS Deepak, Northern Railway ke Chief Safety Officer Dimpi Garg, Ambala Railway Division DRM Mandeep Singh Bhatia, DFCCIL ke officers aur RPF ke Senior DSC Arun Tripathi shamil the. Yeh haadsa Odisha ke Balasore mein hue haadse se compare kiya ja raha hai, jisme ek passenger train bhi shamil thi. Halanki, is haadse mein passengers bal-bal bach gaye. Aise haadse rokne mein madad karne wali anti-collision devices ki kami par bhi zor diya ja raha hai. Railway authorities ne 2016 mein is device ke liye trials shuru karne ki baat ki thi.
