These terminals are located in states like West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, and are operated by companies including Concor, Reliance, Adani, and others. They are situated at key industrial points like Paradip, Jasoda, and Dahej. The goal is to increase the Railways' share in India's overall freight traffic from the current 29% to 35% by 2030. To facilitate this, Railways will continue adding 5,000 km of new tracks annually for the next 3-5 years.
