The Green Line recorded 1.22 crore passengers, with the highest ridership at Sealdah station (49.78 lakh), followed by Salt Lake Sector Five (21.56 lakh) and Karunamayee (12.08 lakh). The Purple Line transported 1.34 lakh passengers during the fiscal year. The recent inauguration of metro services under the Hooghly River, along with the New Garia-Hemant Mukherjee and Joka Majherhat sections, has increased ridership, particularly between Esplanade and Howrah Maidan. The connection with Sealdah is expected to further enhance passenger numbers.
