The Vijayawada-Gudur route is crucial for linking northern, eastern, and southern regions of India and handles significant passenger and freight traffic. The third line project, initiated in 2015-16, was aimed at alleviating congestion and improving operational efficiency. The completed project now totals 209 km of electrified third line, significantly enhancing railway infrastructure and capacity. The SCR Zone general manager believes that the completion of the Vijayawada-Gudur project will significantly reduce congestion along the Grand Trunk route, improving overall railway operations and efficiency.

Ab yeh project complete ho gaya hai aur ismein 209 km lambi electrified third line ban chuki hai, jisse railway infrastructure aur capacity bahut badh gayi hai. SCR Zone ke general manager ka kehna hai ki Vijayawada-Gudur project complete hone se Grand Trunk route par congestion bahut kam hoga aur overall railway operations aur efficiency badhegi.
