Increase in Coaches : Earlier Shatabdi use to run with 13-14 coaches that too ICF. The same occupation of seat has been maintained by all three Shatabdis.
3. Increase in travel time ; 120 KMPH MPS was reduced to 110 KMPH ; priority to local trains were given during MAMTA and LALU reign.
There was an increase of travel time by 25 Mins..
Shatabdi use to take flat 3 hours to 3 hours 10 mins earlier.
Tejas is due to run at 130 kmph but still it has not been given competent time table considering it will be a non stop train.
4. Increase in number of flights connecting Chandigarh and Cheap air fares
5. Shatabdis does not reach before office times in both direction,
But still , they are the first choice of most of the travelers on this route.
Volvo travel is uncomfortable and long.. makes you feel tiered
