15% rise in coal production of Coal India translates to 85 Million Tonnes per annum. Since coal accounts for around 60% of total freight revenue approx 120000 Crore. 15% of it amounts to a revenue potential of Rs 10000-11000 Crores!!
This is a very good opportunity for IR. And IR should try to lap up as much of the additional coal traffic as possible in the current financial year.
