A very good initiative. If successfully implemented, shall result in lowering of sky high logisitics cost which country is paying, and at the same time boost our economy by making Indian goods more competitive in global market.
Since water transport is more energy efficient and suits to bulk transport, success of this project shall ring the final alarm bell for IR, as the bulk traffic which have no option but to go to IR has been exploited to the hilt due to monopoly enjoyed by IR. Bulk traffic then shall have a better alternative to IR.
