In summary - very comfortable journey. The SBC-CAPE Island express arrived at Kollam junction just as we were entering the station, and we got confused at boarded that train in the A2 coach. Luckily the TTE was alert, and he asked us to show our tickets, and then told us were were in the wrong train! So we quickly deboarded, crossed over, and then waited for the CAPE-SBC train :).
The coach was clean and had the newer type toilets (delayed discharge). The only problem was the airconditioning was either freezing or off, there was no middle path. So we froze all night long, and I think will come down with a cough/ cold now courtesy IR....
