I took a ride from Egmore to Secunderabad on the Charminar Express in 3A class on April 21st, 2022, and did some serious railfanning at Egmore, Secunderabad, and along the way. Ready for Part 1? Let's talk about my time at Egmore. Pics 1 to 3 show the entrance of the station. In Pics 4 & 5, Chennai Egmore - Kollam Express board from Platform 2. Missed capturing the loco as it was leaving by then. Pics 6 to 13 are all about the Chennai Egmore - Puducherry Auroville Express at Platform 1, hooked up with an AJJ WAP-4. Now, in Pics 14 & 15, catch the Chennai Egmore - Kanyakumari SF Express leaving from Platform 4 with a WAP-7 (noticed its shed 'cause it was running late). Pics 16 & 17 gives you the deets about some other trains' platforms. In Pic 18, peep the small Station Board at Platform 6. Trains are coming on time these days until they reach JTJ. Then they are just chilling on platform 3 for like 2 to 3 hours, and then the delay stretches all the way to KPD. The delay keeps getting worse on the single track, making it like a 5-hour delay or something.

Abhi ke time me train time pe JTJ tak pahuchti hai, fir usko PF 3 par 2 se 3 ghante ke liye roka jata hai aur KPD tak aur bhi der ho jati hai aur phir ek track par hone wali der me aur 5 ghante jyada badh jati hai.

Sabari Express be running like 5 hours late, man. They just announced its arrival in Tirupati.

5 ghante late chal rahi Sabari Express Tirupati mein pahunchne ki ghoshna ki gayi hai.
