according to information received, there are about 50-meter gauge passenger coaches in the loco yard of Mhow, out of which about 10 are completely damaged.

They will remain in the railway yard for dismantling and the other 40 coaches will be stationed on the meter gauge rail line going from #Mhow to #Patalpani.

as per WR, but it may take 5-7 years time based on Railways construction speed and Ratlam division engineers skills to take back side advantage of making money from this project tenders.

Ratlam division engineers are known for their great skills, created tunnel on plan area: They have proposed a #tihi tunnel on Indore Dahod railway line on plan area. it's really great 😃, Modi ji should give awards to such cost increasing engineers!!!

There are around 12 tunnels need to be created in this section, length of this Mhow Sanawad section will be around 110 km based on new diverted route survey done by RITES.

Heritage Train will be continued on Saturday and Sunday and its maintenance will be done at #Patalpani Station. Currently new small 6 coaches MG platform is developed at Mhow towards Patalpani side to keep running Heritage Train in future. Mhow's Existing platform no 1 will be start to converted it into BG soon.

Khandwa Sanawad passenger train will be started soon.

It was Christmas day and we railfans came to take first heritage ride from all over India.

of us were meeting for the first time.
We met at MHOW railway station. Some of us were waiting at ticket counter right from 7 am though train ride was at 11 AM.
We bought tickets.We had Poha(riceflakes) in breakfast.
Special rakes were shunted by normal locomotive then nicely decorated locomotive came and got attached.
Many railway official, media person and other passengers are seen in the video.
locomotive was getting decorated.
We started train journey at 1105.
It was nice journey with on board narration by railway official.
Train was having rear camera which gives back side view.
Train was equipped with pantry having coffee machine and snacks.
Washroom was clean and tidy.
We reached Patalpani station where we took 20 minutes break.We waited for crossing opposite train. Token exchange can be seen in the video. Semaphore signals adds more beauty to meter gauge journey.
We left for Patalpani waterfall where we took around 40 minutes break.
we had sugarcane juice there.It was hot day but climate was pleasant.
Next we started to Kalakund. In between Choral river and bridges over that can be seen. Bridge and tunnels are very scenic on this route.
Train moves through rural India which shows real countryside.
Bridge shown in video in rebuilded as old bridge is damaged.
Finally we reached Kalakund station where kalakand (कलाकंद) is famous.
Here we halted for 2.5 hours.
cost for ride is INR 120 one way including complementary tea/ coffee.
Stay tuned for next part.
It was best journey in 2018.
